BC Tenancy Laws

Under BC's Residential Tenancy Act, tenants can sublet with landlord approval. Your landlord cannot unreasonably withhold consent. If you own your place, check your strata rules for any restrictions on rentals.

Can I sublet if I'm renting my place?
Yes! Many of our listings are from renters who have received landlord approval to sublet. We'll help you understand the requirements and can provide templates for landlord permission letters.
How do you vet tenants?
Every inquiry goes through our team. We verify identity, employment/income, and rental history. We also require references and can run background checks at your request.
What's your fee structure?
We take a small percentage of the booking—no upfront costs. You only pay when you successfully rent your place. We'll discuss exact terms during onboarding.
Do I need to be in Vancouver?
Not at all. Many of our hosts are traveling, relocating temporarily, or living elsewhere. We can coordinate showings and handle local logistics for you.
What areas do you cover?
We focus on Vancouver's most desirable neighborhoods: Gastown, Yaletown, Kitsilano, Mount Pleasant, West End, and more. If you're in or near Vancouver, we'd love to hear from you.
How long does the process take?
